Peace That Passes
The “peace” spoken of in Galatians 5:22-23 …
- Is not circumstantial—it’s formational
- Is a character trait cultivated over timein those who consistently walk by the Spirit
- Is not a one-time feeling, but a settled confidence in God’s presence, formed through daily surrender and spiritual maturity
- Reflects an inner calm, a Spirit-given stability that holds even in the midst of chaos.
- Creates a relational posture of gentleness & grace toward others, because we are no longer reacting from anxiety, but responding from peace.
Jesus gives us “His peace” through the Holy Spirit, (AKA: the Advocate), who will:
- Teach us all things
- Remind us of what Jesus has already said
The Spirit doesn’t just deliver information—He gives revelation, personal & timely, connecting the truth of Jesus to the moments we need it most
Peace isn’t the absence of trouble—it’s the presence of truth and the Person of Christ through the Spirit
Peace is not something you chase—it’s something you receive & cultivate as you walk in step with the Spirit
It’s the same Spirit Jesus promised and it’s the same Spirit working in us now!
