   1. Taking the Scriptures & applying them to their lives

   1. active participation in a community of believers which encourage, support, and love one another like Jesus

   1. Helps us remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and is a means of spiritual communion with God and fellow believers.
   2. Jesus gave Himself completely to give us a better life, a new start, and a fresh relationship with God. It’s not about a ritual to revere, but a person to worship.
