Patience: Holy Endurance
Patience (also known as forbearance): describes how we deal with people
- Enduring difficult people with grace.
- Slow to retaliate or seek revenge.
- Showing restraint under provocation.
Patience (as a fruit of the Spirit) isn’t just about waiting for things to change on the outside, it’s about what God is growing inside of us.
- Patience is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit
Perseverance: describes how we handle problems
- Standing firm under trial.
- Enduring suffering without giving up.
- Remaining hopeful when facing delays.
Patience is how we stay gentle with people.
Perseverance is how we keep going in hard seasons.
The Spirit wants to grow both in us—so that we’re steady on the inside and gracious on the outside.
Patience + Perseverance = HOLY ENDURANCE
