The disciples, while sitting there

• HEARD: a sound
  • Like a violent wind from heaven
• SAW: a sight
  • What seemed to be tongues of fire rest on each of them
• WERE FILLED: with the Holy Spirit
  • Began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them

Other “God-fearing Jews” were now affected by what they heard from the disciples.

Barriers

• Language
• Born Jewish (nationality & raised in the Jewish Religious faith) verse converted to Judaism (born another nationality and became part of Jewish Religious faith)

NO Barriers

• They ALL HEARD THE SAME THING.

When God’s TRUTH rubs against an individual’s personal truth, and they’re not the same,

 it makes people feel very uncomfortable

• People either
  • Ignore God’s Truth
  • Adjust their truth to match God’s Truth
  • Try to tear down God’s Truth
